Vera Tannetta was born on July 20, 1915 in London. She was the only surviving child to Ellen and John cascerina. Her mother lost to boys one at birth 1920 named Robert V Cascerina, and the other John J Cascerina born 1917 and died 1919. Her mother then died at aged 34 in 1930.
